New Joey Ramone Solo Album Due Out May 22

A posthumous solo album for Ramones frontman Joey Ramone, who died in 2001, will be released on May 22. The album is called . . . Ya Know? and was produced by Ramones collaborators Ed Stasium (Talking Heads, Living Colour) and Jean Beauvoir (KISS, Little Steven). The material for the album comes from unreleased demos that were recorded back in 2001, the year that Ramone passed away of lymphoma.

Guns N' Roses Nearly Performed With Billie Joe Armstrong At Rock Hall

The former members of Guns N' Roses reportedly came close to bringing Green Day front man Billie Joe Armstrong to stand in for Axl Rose during their performance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony last month. In his weekly blog post for Seattle Weekly, Duff McKagan explained how the band "devised a plan" to connect with Armstrong before settling on Alter Bridge singer Myles Kennedy.

Black Keys Add West Coast Leg To Tour

The Black Keys have tacked on a string of dates on the West Coast to their current world tour. The duo will do seven shows throughout the West Coast and Southwest from October 1-10, making stops in Fresno, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Phoenix, before heading over the Pacific for the Australian/New Zealand leg of the tour.

Bret Michaels Thanks Hospital That Saved His Life

Bret Michaels is saying 'thank you' St. Joseph's Barrow Neurological Institute for treating him in 2010 after he suffered a brain hemorrhage. Located in Phoenix, Arizona, the renowned hospital is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and its website features a '50 Years, 50 Faces' icon with a number of high profile people who have been cared for at the hospital publicly thanking the hospital for the treatment they received.
