Former Van Halen Bassist Says He's Looking Forward To New Album

Former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony says he's looking forward to hearing his old bandmates new album. The rockers will release their new album A Different Kind of Truth on February 7 and it includes songs that Anthony helped write dating as far back as the 1970's. While speaking with Planet Rock, Anthony said he has no intention of trying to score a writing credit on the album: "I don't want to do anything. I just let it be," Anthony said.

Lost George Harrison Guitar Solo Found

A previously unheard guitar solo by Beatles legend George Harrison from the track "Here Comes the Sun" has been discovered at Abbey Road Studios in London. The solo was initially cut by Harrison for inclusion on the track but never made the final album. In a new video circulating the web, Harrison's son Dhani is seen discussing the solo with the Fab Four's longtime producer George Martin and Martin's son Giles.

Rolling Stones Urinals Cause A Stir In Germany

A new Rolling Stones museum set to open in Lüchow, Germany has found controversy this month after installing a set of urinals in the shape of the band's famed "lips" logo. Some feminists are calling for the removal of the urinals, claiming their shape is inherently feminine and therefore degrading towards women. Though the design's original creator, artist John Pasche, has always maintained that his 1971 design was inspired by Mick Jagger's mouth.

Neil Young Posts 37-Minute Long Collaboration With Crazy Horse Online

Neil Young has posted a 37-minute long clip of his latest musical collaboration with his band Crazy Horse. The clip - entitled "Horse Back" - shows tape rolling back in the Audio Casa Blanca studio from many different angles and was recorded during Young's studio sessions on January 6. The setlist includes previously unreleased tracks and new material, with the lyric sheets showing a long version of "Cortez The Killer," "Gallows Pole," "Clementine," "This Land," and "Oh Susanna!"

Guns N' Roses Announce Mini-Tour

Legendary frontman Axl Rose will take the current incarnation of Guns N' Roses back on the road, bringing the boys to a half-dozen tour stops in the U.S. this month. The Gunners will start off the trek with three nights in New York City, playing smaller-sized venues in Manhattan before heading west for a gig in Chicago. Next the band will play Silver Spring, Maryland outside of D.C. and wrap things up at Atlantic City, N.J.'s House of Blues.
